Festival Phénomena 2013

PHENOMENAL OCTOBER
October will be a crazy amazing month, especially with Festival Phenomena in Montreal.  I am pleased to be presenting a multitude of projects for the festival.

1] I am ecstatic to announce the Quebec Premiere of the film SMILE STEALERS in collaboration with Festival du nouveau cinéma [FNC]. After 4 long years, the film will finally be played in MTL where it all began. And we are cooking up a big performance event at Sala Rosa le 18 octobre, for the opening night of the festival: Join the FB event for INFO.

2] Egotrip Productions will be premiering a brand new multimedia Sci-Fi shadow puppet show at Sala Rosa: Tout inclus sur la Planet Rouge.  Arthur Desmarteaux and I are pleased to be sharing the stage with good friends Jesse Or and Max Kelly, who will be performing their new show The More of Everything Revival Hour - Lundi 21 octobre [more info soooon!]

3] I am also creating the video projections for La Mythologie Expliquee, a special tableaux vivants performance at Bain Saint-Michel, created by artistic director D.Kimm. [18, 19, 20 october]

Cafe Concrete 12

Here is the poster I designed for Cafe Concrete 12 [a puppet cabaret event held in Montreal]

This last edition of Cafe Concrete was held at Casa de Popolo in Montreal, May 7, 2012.

Egotrip Productions showed a new paper puppet show "Sliding South" created at IMAGO Print Studio in Moncton, NB. Video coming soon, to a youtube near you....

35 audience members are enclosed by hand-printed fabric walls. The set was created at Megalo Print Studios in Australia.

Nuit Blanche - Montreal - Le temps du rêve

Here are a few photos from Le temps du rêve. Performed at ARPRIM in the Belgo building for Nuit Blanche - Montreal, 2012.

Dans le cadre de Nuit blanche à Montréal, ARPRIM invite les noctambules de tous âges à pénétrer dans une forêt enchantée habitée de créatures mystérieuses. Alliant le théâtre d’ombres et de marionnettes, Arthur Desmarteaux et Allison Moore (Egotrip Production) présentent Le temps du rêve, un spectacle immersif et surréaliste inspiré du paysage australien.

Trois représentations sont prévues à 20h, 22h et minuit. Il sera aussi possible de visiter la scène avant et après les représentations. Les places sont limitées : premiers arrivés, premiers servis. Durée : 45 minutes

2boystv workshop

This last week I participated in an intensive 6 day workshop with Aaron Pollard and Stephen Lawson of 2boystv. Based in Montréal, this transdisciplinary collaborative duo have created and toured, nationally and internationally, a wide repertoire of epic multimedia cabaret works, performances, videos and installations. The workshop concentrated on integrating performance with video projections, and was organized through the Association Québécoise des Marionnettistesoste.
